I have bypassed the auto operation of the cooling rad fan, by fitting a toggle switch on the handlebars, so I can use it manually, as and when needed.

 

Strange how much it can calm your worries, when you know that it is working just by flicking a switch. (Had this system on last trip and soon got used to it with no problems).

 

I will waterproof the switch with the finger off an old rubber glove!
