A major alteration to the exhaust silencer has been done.

 

The standard one had a noisy rattle so had to be opened up anyway, so

while apart, I cut the internals down and shortened the whole can by about

half and had it re-welded by the nice people at Chellaston Garage, Derby.

 

It has reduced weight by approx. 5kg and also gives better access to the rear

spindle and brake assembly. As an added bonus, it sounds much better

compared to standard.

 

Need to take it on a run soon, to see what performance difference it may

have made. It will also be the same matt black as soon as I obtain some

heat paint.
