The entire route planned will only be a general direction subject to many changes as i travel due to restrictions ( i.e financial, political, various countries troubles, etc,etc ) So all this will give you is an idea of the general direction which i shall try to follow.

 

As i travel and send back information, then a more detailed route map will be produced for you to follow whilst reading my blog.

 

 

I would estimate, if all goes pretty well, the whole trip might take just over two years, but, if during my travels things go awry or I may need to stop for a good amount of time, then it may stretch to over two & half years?

 

One thing for sure..............................it will certainly be an experience to be shared with all of you.

 

                                                                    THE AIM.

 

   I shall be trying my utmost to follow the rough direction set out on the world map above, as this is my final choice of route/direction.

 

             Leaving on the weekend of June 19th 20th & 21st     2015...     after visiting friends & family as I travel through ENGLAND, I shall cross to FRANCE, taking lots of time criss crossing the land visiting various people & sites as I travel south (testing all equipment too)

            Into SPAIN... reaching Gibraltar & crossing into AFRICA... taking the West Coast route as best I can till finally reaching SOUTH AFRICA.

           From there, I shall obtain passage to SOUTH AMERICA. Travelling directly across to the West Coast then North through many countries eventually passing through CENTRAL AMERICA into MEXICO then the USA, where I plan to spend as much time as allowed, criss crossing that great continent.

          Finishing on the West Coast, I shall obtain passage over to AUSTRALIA (somehow)... then take time touring that Continent, eventually finishing on the Northern Coast, to Island hop over into SOUTH EAST ASIA for a while. If possible? I will try to cross BURMA into INDIA & it's neighbours, eventually leaving via PAKISTAN? or some other route yet to be determined (maybe through the "Stans" then into EASTERN EUROPE & the homeward legs...... That time is some way off yet so I'll leave all those problems till nearer that time.
